Tour Description:
The tour begins at your location listening to the tales of the history
of the first State Capital of California, and how this valley once covered
with orchard fields, transitioned "overnight" to become Silicon
Valley.
Our first stop is the famous Winchester Mystery House, where Sarah Winchester,
heiress to the Winchester rifle fortune, spent the last of her life and
$5,500,000 building a house that contained 160 rooms. Discover this
beautiful and bizarre mansion and decide for yourself of the mystery that
surrounds it. There will be a lunch of a deli style sandwich, fresh fruit,
potato chips and soft drinks for you after your tour and time to browse
outside in the gardens and a variety of gifts and souvenirs available
in the gift shop.
We continue our tour to our next stop at one of San Jose’s finest
wineries in beautiful Santa Clara Valley which is conveniently located in the foothills of the Valley of Hearts Delight, halfway between San Francisco and Monterey where we will enjoy some wine tasting.
On our final stop, we head back into the early 1900's, as we visit History San Jose at Kelly Park.
We will walk through history seeing the beautifully restored dwellings of
of this replica downtown San José. There will be a chance to have an ice cream cone at the Ice Cream Shoppe and/or ride the trolly.
As we return back to your location, we savor the flavor of once the Valley
of Hearts Delight, now Silicon Valley, a special place where dreams have
always become reality and visions have always become fortunes.
